Tammy Cochran to perform
in Jefferson

JEFFERSON -- Country music artist Tammy Cochran will perform at the Performing Arts Center (CPA) at the Jefferson High School, 700 W. Milwaukee St., on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 7:30 p.m.

Cochran gained success with her 2001 hit, "Angels in Waiting." Cochran writes and sings about events that have happened in her life with meaningful songs of heartbreak, self-discovery, and everyday celebration.

Tickets for this performance are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors, and $15 for students. They are available with Visa or MasterCard by calling the CPA at 920-674-2179. Tickets may also be purchased at the council office at 305 S. Main St. in Jefferson; in Fort Atkinson at Humphrey Floral &Gift; in Lake Mills at Lake Street Emporium; and in Watertown at the White House of Music. Family Night at 'Tunes
at Monona Terrace'

MADISON -- The Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center will host a Family Night with Ken Lonnquist for the first "Tunes at Monona Terrace" of the fall season on Wednesday, Sept. 10.

Additional children's activities will include face painting, bracelet making, and temporary tattoos, provided by the Dane County YMCA.

"Tunes at Monona Terrace," free and open to the public, will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Exhibition Hall on Level One. Sandwiches, popcorn, and beverages are available for purchase beginning at 5 p.m.

Monona Terrace is located at One John Nolen Dr. Parking is available in the Monona Terrace parking ramp for a $3 fee. For more information, call 608-261-4000, TTY 608-261-4150.

Theater Bus trip

MADISON -- Theater Bus for people over 60 will be going to the Clock Tower in Rockford, Ill., on Wednesday, Oct. 22, to see the Jubilee Theatre's musical revue of the best country music.

Sunday, Sept. 7, 8:30 p.m., WYOU (cable) -- Christopher Close-up: "Rebel with a Cause." Daytime Emmy Award-winner Jonathan Jackson (General Hospital) shares his own deeply held religious beliefs and explores the role faith can play in the lives of young people.

Monday, Sept. 8, 8 p.m., WHA (PBS) -- The Center of the World. The men, mechanics, and myths behind the twin towers of New York's World Trade Center, including the dark events of Sept. 11, 2001, are explored in this program. Eighth in a series of documentary films chronicling the history of New York City.

Tuesday, Sept. 9, 8 p.m., WHA (PBS) -- Nova: "Why the Towers Fell." For most Americans, the image of the collapse of the World Trade Center Towers on Sept. 11 was not only a scene of unforgettable horror, it was a moment of unimaginable consequence. Who would have guessed that a steel behemoth of such size and strength, a building so massive that it had its own zip code, could actually be reduced to 150 feet of dust and rubble? Nova follows a team of forensic engineers during their fascinating and intricate investigation of the causes of the Twin Towers' collapse.
