MADISON -- Love Begins Here (LBH), an apostolate of the Catholic Diocese of Madison's Office of Evangelization and Catechesis, works to provide the youth with an opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ in a life changing way through weeklong, local mission trips where they live in Catholic community and continue His work on earth.

During a week of LBH, missionaries do what they can to serve those in need within the community. This may include, but is not limited to, visiting the elderly, yard work, gardening, cemetery maintenance, volunteering at senior centers, painting, helping at food pantries and preparing dinner for their fellow missionaries.

Not only does LBH impact our missionaries, but the difference made in the communities they call home is powerful. Over the past five summers, LBH missionaries have completed 23,000 hours of service.
