St. Kateri at the St. John the Baptist School in Waunkee Saint Wax Museum
Fourth grader Kateri Zitzelberger portrays a wax figure of St. Kateri Tekakwitha. Kateri chose her saint because they share the same name and Kateri is part Native American. St. Kateri Tekakwitha was the daughter of a Mohawk chief. To view or purchase photos from the Saint Wax Museum, visit madisoncatholicherald.smugmug.com (Catholic Herald photo/Kevin Wondrash)

WAUNAKEE -- On Friday, Feb. 28, fourth grade students at St. John the Baptist School presented their Saint Wax Museum.

Students from other grades and guests gave the fourth graders, dressed as saint wax figures, plastic coins and were treated to a short presentation on a particular saint.

Prior to being wax figures, the students each picked a saint and learned about their lives.

Many of the fourth graders picked their saint because it is their name.
