To the editor:

Thanks to the Catholic Herald team for your outstanding coverage of the annual pro-life marches in Madison, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. Our family was pleased to join hundreds of others from the diocese in participating in these important events, providing a countercultural voice on behalf of the most defenseless in our society. Special thanks to Diocese of Madison for their leadership in making our local march a success!

As we watch recent alarming events to further embed abortion into law in New York and Virginia, it’s critical that we make our voices heard . . . in our parishes and in the public square. We must oppose every abortion — whether it’s destroying a baby just days after his or her conception or one that ends the life of an allegedly “imperfect” child in the late stages of pregnancy.

These babies have no voice and no vote. They’re counting on us.
