MONTELLO -- St. John the Baptist Parish in Montello and Good Shepherd Parish in Westfield invite everyone to take part in their upcoming "Surge of the Heart" Parish Mission.

Guest speaker is Jon Leonetti, an international Catholic speaker and author of two books entitled Mission of the Family and Your God Is Too Boring.

The parish mission will begin on Sunday, Feb. 7. A light lunch will be offered before Leonetti's talk from 11:45 a.m. up to the time of the first talk at 1 p.m. in the St. John the Baptist Parish Center, 277 E. Montello St. Each of Leonetti's talks is one hour long.

On Monday and Tuesday evenings, the mission will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. with Mass being offered beforehand at 5:45 p.m. for those who are interested.

After each talk there will be a light reception in the center where everyone can gather and share their thoughts.

Leonetti will share powerful and humorous stories of Catholic men and women who lived extraordinary lives of love and mercy in ordinary ways. He will share three practical and effective ways Catholics can strengthen their resolve to live the life God meant for us to live.

The mission is free and open to all. Child care will be available upon request.
