MADISON -- The Seat of Wisdom Diocesan Institute is offering adult-level courses in Catholic doctrine at regional locations across the Diocese of Madison.

Topics include sacred Scripture, the Creed, sacraments, prayer, life in Christ, and others. Regional locations with course dates are below. Courses requiring prerequisites are starred. Upcoming course offerings include:

Madison, Bishop O’Connor Catholic Pastoral Center

  • Ecclesiology: What is the Church?; Michael Brummond — Saturday, Nov. 20, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • The Creed: What Catholics Believe; Kris Kranenburg — Saturday, Dec. 11, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Apologetics: Defending Truth, God, and the Soul through Reason Alone; Paul Matenaer — Saturday, Dec. 18, 9 a.m. to noon.
  • Cardinal Ratzinger on the Priesthood (Part I); Bishop Robert C. Morlino — Saturday, Dec. 18, 1 to 4 p.m.
