"The Art of Conservation" exhibit will run from January 5 through February 1, and will feature work by art conservator Barry Bauman performed on pieces of art in the Sinsinawa Dominican Motherhouse Collection. Waunakee: The Mouse That Roared ( 6:30 pm )

The Holy Family Homeschoolers High School Drama will present The Mouse That Roared on Friday, Jan. 26, at 6:30 p.m. in the Waunakee High School Theater, 301 Community Dr., Waunakee (enter through door number 17 on South St.). The play is a rare comedy that uses the magic of the theatre to invite the audience to enjoy the delight of the “impossible”. Tickets are $5 per person or $20 per family. There will be no advance ticket sales.




Madison: Funky Dance ( 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm )

Monona Terrace, 1 John Nolen Dr.,  presents Funky Dance Madison, a concert that promotes an eclectic mix of dance music for everyone, on Friday, Jan. 26, from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Now in its third year, ticket proceeds from this event support the popular summer Dane Dances. Totally Neon, playing favorite '80s dance hits, will perform at 7 p.m., and VO5 will perform from 9 to 10:30 p.m. in the Monona Terrace Exhibition Hall. Cost is: adults $10 in advance or $15 day of event; and children (two to 12) $5 in advance or $10 day of event. Parking is available for $5 in the state parking ramp attached to Monona Terrace. Barneveld: Souper Bowl Of Soups Supper ( 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm )

The parish Council of Catholic Women will sponsor the annual Souper Bowl of Soups Supper on Saturday, Jan. 27, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 100 Church St. Enjoy a hot bowl of soup or chili served in a fresh bread bowl topped off with cheese and crackers and a homemade dessert. The night will also include a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. All proceeds benefit the Cash for Camp Scholarship Fund. In case of severe weather, snow date is Sunday, Jan. 28.




Beloit: Wild Game Dinner ( 6:00 pm )

Knights of Columbus Council 605, serving the cluster parishes of St. Jude, St. Thomas, and Our Lady of the Assumption in Beloit and St. Stephen in Clinton, will sponsor its annual Wild Game Dinner on Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 939 Liberty Ave. Snacks and social hour begin at 6 p.m. with the dinner to follow at 7 p.m. and the raffle drawing at 8 p.m. Dinner and raffle tickets are available from any council member or by calling Grand Knight Norm Jacobs at 608-364-0495. Tickets will also be available at the door. Carryouts, a cash bar, and other raffles will be available.

Fitchburg: Breakfast ( 8:00 am - 11:00 am )

Knights of Columbus Council 4527 will sponsor its Bountiful Breakfast on Sunday, Jan. 28, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Catholic Multicultural Center West, 5256 Verona Rd. (enter off Anton Dr.). The expanded buffet includes scrambled eggs, ham, French toast, corned beef hash, and much more. Proceeds will benefit St. Ambrose Academy drama students.




Waunakee: Breakfast ( 8:00 am - 12:00 - noon )

Knights of Columbus Council 6371 of Waunakee will host a pancake breakfast on Sunday, Jan. 28, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at St. John School, 113 E. 3rd St. It will feature blueberry and regular pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and ham. The breakfast starts Catholic Schools Week at St. John School, which will have an open house from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Knights of Columbus Council 6997 of St. Thomas Parish will host bingo in the parish hall, 651 S. Main St., Poynette, on Sunday, Jan. 28. The parish hall is open at 12:30 p.m. and bingo runs from 1 to 3 p.m. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available.
