Green Bay: Day Out With Thomas The Train ( All Day )

The National Railroad Museum is hosting “Day Out with Thomas: The Friendship Tour 2017” June 21-25.

“Day Out with Thomas” provides children of all ages the opportunity to climb aboard and take a ride with Thomas as well as participate in Thomas & Friends™ themed activities.

Visitors can also take a 25-minute ride. Thomas the Tank Engine rides depart every 45 minutes, rain or shine. Departure times begin at 9:15 a.m. through 4:45 p.m. each day of the event.

Tickets for “Day Out with Thomas” are $19 plus tax for ages two and up. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.ticketweb.com/dowt or by calling toll-free 866-468-7630.

Madison: Theater Bus ( All Day )

The Theater Bus for persons 55 and over will be traveling to the following event in June.

• Sunday, June 25: At Fond du Lac High School PAC, Man of La Mancha is one of the great theater successes of our time. This play within a play, based on Cervantes' Don Quixote, is a poignant story of a dying old man whose impossible dream takes over his mind. Lunch is at the Rock River Golf Club. Cost is $75.

Montello: St. John The Baptist Parish Festival ( All Day )

St. John the Baptist Parish will hold its parish festival on Saturday, June 24, at 277 E. Montello St. It will feature a rummage sale, bake sale, basket raffles, and food, including a barbecue rib and chicken dinner served from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be a DJ and karaoke from 12 noon to 4 p.m. and live music by Chameleon from 6 to 10 p.m. A pancake breakfast will be served on Sunday, June 25, from 7:30 to 10 a.m.

 




Ridgeway: St. Bernadette Parish Festival ( All Day )

St. Bernadette Parish will hold its festival on Sunday, June 25, at St. Bridget Church, 801 Main St. A chicken dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be music by Three for All from 12 noon to 3 p.m., silent auction, raffle, games, and children’s activities.

Sauk City: Divine Mercy Parish Festival ( 11:30 am - 2:00 pm )

Divine Mercy Parish will hold its festival at St. Aloysius Church, 115 Madison St., on Sunday, June 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will feature a pork chop dinner and Mexican dishes served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., raffle, live auction, softball tournament, children’s games, and refreshments. Sinsinawa: Organ Concert ( 7:00 pm )

The Sinsinawa Wednesday, June 21 organ concert at 7 p.m., will feature Bruce Bengtson

Bengtson is director of music at Luther Memorial Church, Madison. He is recognized as an accomplished organist and has performed in Mexico, Canada, Europe, and the United States.

Sinsinawa Mound welcomes Ann Marie Riglar for her first Summer Organ Concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 28. She is professor of music and college organist at William Jewell College, Liberty, Mo.

Sinsinawa Mound, the Motherhouse for the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters, is located in southwest Wisconsin on CR Z, off Hwy. 11, about five miles northeast of Dubuque.




Sinsinawa: Summer Organ Concert Series ( 7:00 pm )

Sinsinawa Mound presents the 26th annual Summer Organ Concert series beginning Wednesday, June 7, at 7 p.m.

Guest musicians from around the country will perform on the Casavant pipe organ in Queen of the Rosary Chapel.

Concerts are held every Wednesday evening in June, July, and August (except July 26). A freewill offering will be accepted.

The first concert of the series features Naomi Rowley, principal organist at First United Methodist Church, La Grange, Ill., and adjunct instructor of organ at Aurora University, Aurora, Ill.

Other musicians scheduled to perform at the concert series include:

Madison: Monona Terrace Concerts On The Rooftop ( 7:00 pm )

Concerts on the Rooftop returns to Monona Terrace in June with a line-up of artists from across the Midwest.

The summer concert series showcases free music paired with rooftop views of Lake Monona and the State Capitol. New this year, free tickets are required and available on Eventbrite. Performers are:

• June 1 — The Screamin’ Cucumbers, a Milwaukee area cover band.

• June 8 — The Boy Band Night, a tribute band that features the music of *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Boyz II Men, and more.

• June 15 — Transit Authority, a premier Chicago tribute band out of the Twin Cities.

• June 29 — The Boogie Men, a costumed musical act throwing the “ultimate dance party.”

• July 13 — The Love Monkeys, a local pop/rock favorite.

• July 20 — Madison County, an award-winning country band.

Sandwiches, snacks, and an assortment of beverages will be available for purchase at the Lake Vista Café and bars located around the rooftop.

Concerts begin at 7 p.m. Food and non-alcoholic beverages may be carried in.

Parking is available in the attached state ramp for $3 an hour or a flat rate of $5 after 5 p.m.
