The world's largest celebration of Irish and Celtic music and culture, the Milwaukee Irish Fest is equipped with a talent-packed lineup from August 17 to 20. The four-day festival showcases more than 100 entertainment acts on 17 stages at Henry W. Maier Festival Park, 639 E. Summerfest Pl. on Milwaukee's lakefront. From young to old, the festival holds something for all. Families can collect stamps for Pirate Paddy passports, catch daily parades, search for gold in the Leprechaun Village, and participate in highland games, crafts, and mini-golf. Holy Family Parish Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 19 and 20, at 120 S. Beebe St. On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., there will be beer, brats, hamburgers, and hot dogs as well as a euchre and sheepshead tournament at 12 noon. On Sunday, there will be Mass at 10:30 a.m., grilled pork chop dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., bake sale, silent auction, kids games, raffle, and live music featuring the Soggy Prairie Boys from 1 to 3 p.m.

Castle Rock: Dinner ( 10:00 am - 2:00 pm )

The annual chicken noodle soup, chicken, and ham dinner will be held at St. John Nepomuc Church on Sunday, Aug. 20, with serving from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will also be a country story, games, and refreshments. The church is located on CTH G between Muscoda and Hwy. 18.

Blessed Trinity Parish will hold its End of Summer Festival on Sunday, Aug. 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Patrick Church, 521 Fair St. A Swiss steak and ham dinner will be served; carryouts are available. • Stephen Steely will play the organ at Sinsinawa Mound's free Summer Organ Concert on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m. Steely serves as minister of music at First Lutheran Church, Moline, Ill., is pastoral musician at St. Pius X Church, Rock Island, Ill., and Temple Emanuel, Davenport, Iowa.
• Sarah Barnes, artist and owner of Create It Art Studio, Dubuque, will conduct a painting on canvas workshop on Thursday, Sept. 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. All materials are provided, no experience is necessary, and all skill levels are welcome. Participants will be creating a fall scene or pumpkins. Registration deadline is Thursday, Aug. 31, and the fee is $35.
• Bill Kehl will offer a drumming workshop, "A Circle of Drums: The Rhythms of Life," on Saturday, Sept 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kehl will provide an interactive, hands-on opportunity to learn firsthand about  group rhythmic dynamics. Registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 1, and the fee is $65.
