Msgr. James Bartylla, Vicar General, announces the following priest appointments of The Most Reverend Robert C. Morlino, Bishop of Madison, effective as stated below, and announced at weekend Masses of the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, Saturday and Sunday, December 30 and 31, 2017.

• Very Rev. Fr. Tait Schroeder, JCD, appointed for service to the Holy See, at the request of the Holy Father and the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Rome, effective Thursday of the Second Week of Lent, March 1, 2018, from Judicial Vicar of the Diocese of Madison, effective The Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord, Sunday, January 7, 2018, and from pastor, St. Peter Parish, Ashton, and St. Martin of Tours Parish, Martinsville, effective Monday of the Third Week of Ordinary Time, January 22, 2018.

• Rev. Fr. Gabi López-Betanzos, JCL, to Judicial Vicar of the Diocese of Madison, per canon 1420, effective The Solemnity of the Epiphany of The Lord, Sunday, January 7, 2018, for a period of five years, remaining as parochial vicar, St. John the Baptist Parish, Waunakee, and St. Mary of the Lake, Westport.

• Rev. Fr. Christopher Gernetzke, to temporary parochial administrator, St. Peter Parish, Ashton, and St. Martin of Tours Parish, Martinsville, per canon 539, remaining as Priest Secretary and Master of Ceremonies to the Bishop of Madison, effective Monday of the Third Week of Ordinary Time, January 22, 2018.

• Rev. Fr. Gregory Ihm, to temporary Master of Ceremonies to the Bishop of Madison, remaining as Director of the Office of Vocations of the Diocese of Madison, effective Monday of the Third Week of Ordinary Time, January 22, 2018.

• Rev. Fr. Thomas Dukwon Kim, a priest of the Diocese of Incheon, to chaplain, Korean Catholic Community in the Diocese of Madison, per canon 564, effective Monday of the Second Week of Ordinary Time, January 15, 2018, replacing Rev. Fr. Augustinus Hak Sun Kim, a priest of the Diocese of Incheon, upon his departure.
