Wednesday, July 9, 8 p.m., WHA (PBS) -- Martin Luther. This documentary relates the story of an unassuming Catholic monk whose words and ideas provoked not only a religious revolution, but a socio-economic and political one as well. Although the disagreeable representation of the church may be off-putting to some viewers, there is some truth to what is being said of the church at that time. Visually interesting and with a fine-tuned script, Martin Luther is comprehensive and educational. Parents should be aware, however, that the program contains a few disturbing images and that adolescents are likely to question the actions of the church at that time.
